Today’s episode of VENT has to be in the Top 5 Worst Ever category for video blogging. The writing and, to some extent, the production aren’t horrible, but it’s the content that gives it away. So if you’ve got a few minutes, go watch today’s episode and pick out your favorite part.

P. Diddy’s a gangsta rapper?! That’s news to me.

It’s a damn shame she can’t do a 5 minute stand-up in front of a chroma key screen without having to resort to dissolves between takes. Five minutes. Reading off a prompter, no less. Jeez.
More full-screen graphics would make it easier to cut between takes, and require no extra effort — perhaps less overall, since they’re editing the stills to fit the shape of that oval she has. But then again, if there were more full-screen graphics, her viewers would have less time to play with themselves through the hole in their pants pockets while fantasizing about those perky chink tits of hers. Mmmm.

Well, finally a wingnut comes out and says what they have been trying to do for awhile with legislation… they want less people to vote, not more. Cause they know what is best for you…

Scarier… all the people that agree with her in the comments. Jeez, one would think we didn’t have a right to vote…

From what I’ve seen, if it involves liberals/celebrities, she’s gonna complain. You think she’ll say anything about the ONE campaign?
And to Chuck, did you have to use the word “chink”?
Comment by RavenStar — July 19, 2006 @ 9:49 pm
I was going to go with “chinky” but I didn’t like the parallelism with “perky”, so I had to go with the nominal, not the adjectival, modifier.
No, but seriously, sorry if you were offended… Wait, no I’m not. Sorry I didn’t make my tone clear :) I frequently role-shift into bigot mode to make a point in my writing (essentially as a cover for the overall quality of my prose). Maybe it should’ve been in quotes.
As further citation of this tendency, here’s a link to a post of mine called ‘Faggot blood’.

I certainly hope the lefties try the “get out the youth vote” promo again this year. It is a wonderful waste of time.

Look a concern troll. Yeah, the left needs to stop working to turnout the demographic that John Kerry won in 2004.
Here’s some advice. The righties need to work on keeping the over 60 set. Because it’s not like they’re going to die off or anything like that.

Wow, John F’ng Kerry won the 2004 election! Now, that is a refreshing and new thought.
How about a trip down memory lane.
John Kerry went into the primary without a plan to win the election.
The Democrats threw everything they had at the election. They ran a phony Vietnam War hero and a phony Southerner. They had middle-aged women executives at MTV hawking “Rock the Vote” to entice the most uninformed young people to vote for Kerry. They had Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews and New York Times darling Eminem. They had documentaries, books, the universities, Hollywood (and the French!) on their side.
They had liberal thugs ransacking Bush-Cheney headquarters, stealing Bush-Cheney signs and slashing the tires of Bush-Cheney get-out-the-vote vans on Election Day. In Colorado, they traded voter registrations for crack cocaine. In Ohio, they registered Mary Poppins and Dick Tracy. In South Carolina, Emily’s List called Republican households and gave them incorrect information about the location of polling places.
The media campaigned heavily for Kerry with endless Abu Ghraib coverage, phony National Guard documents and, days before the election, false news reports that hundreds of tons of munitions had been looted in Iraq.
The Democrats’ cheating never stopped. The big story of this election is the fraudulent exit polls on Election Day. Strange as it seems to me, it is well acknowledged that people are more likely to come out and vote for a winner. Early exit polls showing Kerry the clear winner could be expected to depress the vote for Bush.
Stunningly inaccurate exit polls released around noon on Election Day convinced news anchors, talking heads and even the campaigns that Kerry would win walking away. But at 9 p.m., when the first actual results began to come in, the election went to Bush.
Bottom line - Kerry lost.

Thanks, but I don’t need your advice. The conservative baby boom generation is already hitting the 60-year age point and will continue to overpower and outvote the liberal youngsters for the next couple decades. Get used to it.

I’m all for people commenting here, everyone. But please keep it on topic. If you need a guide, check out the original post.
Now, Mr. Benson, I don’t believe anyone in this thread said, “John Kerry beat Bush.” It was stated above that Kerry won the youth vote, just as he won the woman vote. Of course, it could be argued that it was actually Bush who lost those demographics, but that’s for a thread far, far away from here.
