Michelle Malkin, Music Critic

by Ryan at 12:08 am and filed under: Who's Unhinged?

Just a few points on the “Hadji Girl” fiasco:

  1. By defending the song, Malkin is perfecting the methods necessary to lose the propaganda war. Scholars will one day memorize her blog posts as a result.
  2. Recently, Michelle implied that U.S. soldiers shouldn’t necessarily be responsible for the death of children whose bodies absorb their missiles and bullets. And for no other reason than that terrorists are known for using children as human shields.

The narrator of this song uses an Iraqi child as a human shield.

  3. Michelle is unhinged. Regnery must be proud.

Here’s an ethnically tinged, violent song (that is somehow not odious) about a gang of Jewish skinheads. Why wasn’t this one of the Top 50 Conservative Rock Songs? NOFX - Punk in Drublic - The Brews

  1. I hate to say it, but on this one MM is right. First the song was obviously perfomed in a setting with other Marines, not in a public setting. The real person who should be apologizing is the moron who brought the camera. Second, the lyrics in the song point out something the Marines know all too well, the insurgents use children to lure them into ambushes. It is the insurgents who do all the killing by the way, not he Marine. Third, its the Muslims who should be apologizing to the Marines for creating an atmosphere where radicals are free to roam, instead of turning on them. The Marines have a tough job in Iraq and this is much ado about nothing. Guess you have never seen a Focsle Follies on a naval ship have you? Its humor that you have to have been there and been through the experience to understand. God Bless those Marines!

  2. From the song:

    “And then I laughed maniacally
Then I hid behind the TV
And I locked and loaded my M-16
And I blew those little f***ers to eternity.”

And by, “those fuckers”, I take him to mean the enire family.

  3. The family that just tried to kill him………..
That is the context that is ignored. More info at Black Five and LGF.

  4. That’s true. It would be putting too fine a point on a ridiculous song to wonder who he means exactly by “those fuckers”. But it is clear that he used “Hadji girl’s” “little sister” (who makes no other appearance in the song) as a shield. I feel that this is a point that is being ignored.

I wouldn’t be outraged if this Marine or the one who filmed the performance or the ones who distributed the video were not reprimanded. Then again, I would be troubled if they were imprisoned for it, as well. This is a classic “thoughtcrime”. No one should be punished for fictionalizing criminal behavior.

The reason I’m angry over this and the kneejerk response by Malkin and the milbloggers to defend the song is that this is exactly what we don’t want the public believing is the face of the Armed Services, hence my allusion to the “propaganda war”.

  5. Note I am not Skippy-san.

Just thought I’d make that clear.

  6. I’m guessing that you’re also not the Bush Kangaroo.

  7. No, I’m not that skippy either, but he is the inspiration for my nom d’guerre. Skippy! Actually he was the Austrailian Lassie. He too would sense when humans were in danger and could fetch mom and dad or gramps when necessary. I model my moral code after him.

  8. Just to clarify both us skippys, I think, draw our name from the Australian TV show featuring a smart, life-saving kangaroo.

  9. I suppose i should comment on this topic since I’ve weighed in on my nom d’guerre. Overall I can see why they would do such a thing. I’m not particularly bothered by their behavior. I’m more bothered by wacked out defenders like Malkin who go apeshit when a “moonbat” sings a song that could even be remotely interpreted as anti-Bush, anti-war, anti-Marine, anti-insane, but fawn innocence when the oppostie happens. Malkin disgusts me, not these Marines. yeah they should be reprimanded because they make the Marines look bad and they make America look bad. Stupid idiots for singing it in the first place let alone recording it.

  10. Yo! You inspired me to make a blog of my very own. I shall keep it in my pouch.

I might even say something some time aside from just sniping here.

Go tell me I’m a twat or something.

  11. It is the insurgents who do all the killing by the way, not he Marine.
