First things first. Malkin has been very excited to put every single picture she can find of a protestor waving a Mexican flag. This apparently proves something. Unlike, say, her beloved minutemen (via LA):

Note too that both those flags represent groups which have waged war against the United States more recently than Mexico has.
And speaking of totalitarian regimes, a young conservative in Berkeley shows no respect for Old Mother Reagan and embraces her inner Stalin:

Emblematic of the integrity and due diligence with which Malkin has been treating the protests is this post, in which she gets very righteous (emphasis mine, cause Malkin sure ain’t gonna point it out):
Monday is national illegal alien day. (List of events here.) Some schools are suspending students who walk out, but not here in the People’s Republic of Montgomery County, Md. They’re going to earn school credit for skipping school* and protesting enforcement of our immigration laws (via WaPo):
“The Montgomery County schools’ decision to grant students community service credit for attending Monday’s immigration rights protest is raising concern among some parents as well as activists who say officials should focus on education, not political advocacy.
Montgomery is the only Washington area school system offering students credit for taking part in the event, to be held on the Mall — a decision Superintendent Jerry D. Weast said is consistent with how the system has operated.
‘This is nothing new,’ schools spokesman Brian K. Edwards said about the decision. ‘Advocacy is allowed.’
But in the superheated atmosphere surrounding the immigration debate, the decision is drawing sharp criticism from many quarters. Yesterday, school system offices were flooded with angry phone calls as word of its action circulated among conservative radio hosts.
In a memo sent to Board of Education members, Weast said that ‘callers were abusive to school system staff, using derogatory ethnic comments in expressing their views…’”
But it’s not about race, right, Michelle?
Oh, and do you see that asterisk at the beginning of the post? Here’s what it corresponds to:
*correction: the kids are on spring break.
So in other words, your friggin’ lede - that kids were being given credit for skipping school - was completely wrong, and you didn’t bother correcting it hid the correction away at the bottom of a long post*, because you were too busy defending racists and deciding for school kids what they can believe. I’m quite shocked, actually.
*see how easy that would have been?
