Whence the impression that all “24″ fans are righties, and all righties are “24″ fans?
Oh, I forgot. When Jack Bauer tortures just the right guy at just the right moment to save Los Angeles with seconds to spare, the righties think it’s reeeeeeeal.

Let’s not forget “The Unit,” where all the wives are good little ambulatory penis-holsters who don’t sass back too much. Great role models for the Kate O’beirne set…

24 is lame. I’ve tried watching that show and every single time I end up tuning out. My (currently in production) favorite shows are The Office, Earl and Bones. Law & Order is also very good. The only way I’ll watch 24 is if everything else on is all “reality” crap.

“My Name is Earl” is the best-hearted show on television, and “The Office” is also terrific. There two best shows on TV, though, may not be familiar to everybody. Discovery Channel’s “Mythbusters” is clever, goofy fun. But the best show on television is on Cartoon Network: “Full Metal Alchemist.” It’s the most thoughtful, emotionally complex show of the last decade. It’s about guilt, regret, redemption… and about learning that the things we believe in may not be as simple as they seem. Let’s hope that someday the world’s true believers will learn the value of a little bit of doubt.
