It’s like Christmas in March for the Wingers

Righties, Malkin foremost, are all atwitter over a batch of intelligence released in apparently raw form from pre- and mid-war collections thanks to Senator Frothy Mixture’s efforts.

Just to cut to the chase, one of the documents contains a picture of, among others, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, under the US Government heading “2002 Iraqi Intelligence Correspondence concerning the presence of al-Qaida Members in Iraq. Correspondence between IRS members on a suspicion, later confirmed, of the presence of an Al-Qaeda terrorist group. Moreover, it includes photos and names.”

Malkin says “No translation needed for this photo found in the document trove.”

Which naturally suggests to me that much translation is needed.

Update: I really do get tired of being so right all the time.

[O]ne of the documents, a letter from an Iraqi intelligence official, dated August 17, 2002, asked agents in the country to be on the lookout for Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and another unnamed man whose picture was attached.

Watch for Malkin to claim Saddam was trying to catch al-Zarqawi to give him a medal.
